The minimally invasive procedure involves superficial and controlled puncturing of the skin by rolling with miniature fine needles (aiding the penetration of Golden Oil®).

Traditionally used as a collagen induction therapy for facial scars and skin rejuvenation, it is now widely used as a transdermal delivery system for topical skincare. Highly beneficial for a range of other skin types, including scarred, dehydrated and hyper pigmented skin. Regular derma rolling has been found to fade acne scars in particular, as these are often quite rooted in the skin’s layers, which the micro-needles are able to reach.
Derma rolling sheds the top layer of skin and in the process, encourages effective skin cell turnover. This works wonders for those experiencing hyperpigmentation in the form of darkened or lightened spots, as shedding away surface layers ensures the new skin is not affected by discolouration.
The derma roller can be used on the hands and body to plump and smooth skin and the scalp to activate hair growth.
The rolling method involves three steps: vertical, horizontal, and diagonal movements.
Apply a few drops of Golden Oil® and start by rolling the derma roller up and down the forehead, cheeks, and chin, making sure not to apply too much pressure.
Switch to a horizontal movement followed by a diagonal movement. Spend no more than 2 minutes on the whole process.
Stay away from the eye area and be extra careful on sensitive places such as the nose and upper lip.
After the rolling is complete, apply the same Golden Oil® product that was initially used.
Start once a week to see how skin reacts to the needles. The frequency can be increased to two or three times a week over time.
